La Última Parada Mercadito 2018
Dear Vendor,
La Ultima Parada 2018 “A Celebration of Life on the Day of the Dead” will once again take place at the School of Arts & Culture at 1700 Alum Rock Avenue in San Jose. We are expecting more than 3,000 attendees. The event is publicized in all of San Jose/South Bay and throughout the Bay Area via online and traditional media.
For those vendors and organizations wishing to offer Day of the Dead and culturally relevant items to the participants, spaces are available on Sunday, October 28th from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Spaces will be assigned by the Mercadito Coordinator in order of submittal and cultural relevance. Each vendor must provide their own equipment (pop-ups, tables and chairs) and any pop-up canopy must be properly weighted down.
LUP 2018 will offer vendor spaces both inside and outside of the plaza:
Gravel Lot Vendors will set up along the walkway and sidewalk facing the gravel lot in front of the Mexican Heritage Plaza (along Alum Rock Avenue). Outdoor spaces are all 10 x 10 . The SJ Jazz BoomBox Stage, Food concessions and seating areas will complete the horseshoe shaped space. Additionally, ONLY the MainGate will be open to access the plaza, thereby creating the foot traffic to bring customers through this area.
Garden/Trellis Vendors spaces vary by location. All are in the shade and not all will fit a pop-up canopy. Each space entitles the vendor to a space that would accommodate at least an 8 foot table OR 2 six-foot tables in “L-shape”. Configurations will vary. These spaces are considered ‘premium’ and limited.
All spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.. Your application will be deemed complete once your payment has been received.
