La Ultima Parada 2016 – Xochitl Cultural de Lincoln High School
Xochitl Cultural is a performing arts program of the San Jose Unified School District at Abraham Lincoln High School. Via the vehicle of folklorico dance, the focus is to teach and preserve Mexican culture and guide dancers toward achieving a professional performance level.
Under the artistic direction of Maestro Arturo Magaña, Xochitl Cultural strives for excellence in their performances in San Jose and surrounding communities.
For La Ultima Parada 2016, Xochitl will present a Fandango Veracruzano suite, from which two of the dances are original pieces choreographed by the students. This suite has both modern and traditional elements of movement and music represented.
