La Ultima Parada 2017 – Folklórico Herúvi Kalo
Grupo Folklorico Heruvi Kalo will be one of the dance groups to join us at La Ultima Parada 2017! They will be performing and they will also be a part of the traditional dance of “La Viejada”
Grupo Folklorico Heruvi Kalo was established in November of 2014 becoming one of the newest groups in San Jose, CA. Now under thedirection of Kevin Mendoza, Ruth Castro and Genesis Ibanez, GFHK hopes to be a part of creating something new and diverse in the folkloric world. The group currently has 10 members, whose ages vary from 16-26 years of age, including its directors. This dynamic group of dancers is a mixture of style, passion, fun and love for the art of dance. Heruvi Kalo made their debut performance at the 2015 Danzantes Unidos Festival at the Warnors Theater for Performing Arts for over 1500 of their peers in folklorico dance. Since then, they have had the opportunity to perform for the City of San Jose, Facebook, The Foundation for Hispanic Education, as well as many other public and private events. GFHK offers various dance classes that range from ages 3 and up.
